Prince Harry was awarded £140,600 (163,874 euros) in compensation after filing a phone hacking lawsuit against a tabloid publisher in the High Court.
Judge Mann concluded that between 2006 and 2011, Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN) had a "widespread" practice of phone hacking, even to some extent during the Leveson Inquiry into media standards.
The judge also ruled that Prince Harry's phone may have been "intercepted to some extent" by the publisher.
The 39-year-old Prince Harry sued the Mirror Group newspaper company for damages. He alleged that reporters from The Mirror, Sunday Mirror, and Sunday People were involved in phone hacking, so-called "blagging" or obtaining information through deception, and using private detectives for unlawful activities.
Also included in the lawsuit were actor Michael Le Vell, actress Nikki Sanderson, and comedian Paul Whitehouse's ex-wife Fiona Wightman. Le Vell, professionally known as Michael Le Vell, is famous for his role as Kevin Webster in "Coronation Street."
The court was previously informed that the allegations of illegal activities by the MGN companies covered a period from as early as 1991 to at least 2011.
Earlier this year, Judge Mann oversaw the trial of these claims and announced his ruling at a hearing on Friday.
After seven weeks of evidence from dozens of witnesses, including former journalists, editors, private detectives, and MGN executives, this high-profile trial concluded in June.
Many other witnesses also submitted written testimonies to the trial, such as friends, family, and colleagues of those suing the publisher.
Prince Harry underwent 8 hours of questioning over two days in the witness stand, attracting global media attention.
MGN largely disputed these claims and denied that any complained-about newspaper articles were caused by phone hacking, asserting that most were not caused by any other illegal activities.
The publisher partially admitted to illegal activities related to the Duke, Ms. Sanderson, and Ms. Wightman, apologized for it, and acknowledged their right to some damages, but denied most of their claims and Mr. Le Vell's entire case.
